Visual Acoustics

"Narrated by Dustin Hoffman, VISUAL ACOUSTICS celebrates the life and career of Julius Shulman, the world’s greatest architectural photographer, whose images brought modern architecture to the American mainstream. Shulman, who passed away this year, captured the work of nearly every major modern and progressive architect since the 1930s including Frank Lloyd Wright, Richard Neutra, John Lautner, and Frank Gehry. His images epitomized the singular beauty of Southern California’s modernist movement and brought its iconic structures to the attention of the general public. This unique film is both a testament to the evolution of modern architecture and a joyful portrait of the magnetic, whip-smart gentleman who chronicled it with his unforgettable images."

William S. Burroughs: A Man Within

William S. Burroughs was a controversial figure in the 1950's and through out the 60's during the peak of the peak of the Beat Generation. He was a novelist, an essayist, painter, and an outspoken social critic. He wrote some of the most acclaimed and controversial novels in American History; mostly dealing with his personal life struggles such as his opiate addiction, which marked a great effect in his last 50 years of life. His literature was that of an abstract Avante-garde style, and he influenced and attracted many figures of the pop culture. Initially, his work was acknowledged and he was elected to the AAIA in 1975.
Now, for the first time a documentary of such great figure has been developed, showcasing the controversial lifestyle of this figure, his effect on literature, and his many personal demons. Check out the 5 minute trailer below.

HOME: A Global Documentary

HOME is a documentary directed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. It showcases the diversity of life on Earth and how we as humans have been threatening the ecological system. If you're interested in our planets well-being and how you can help, then I suggest you watch this documentary. The film was released on June 5th, free and online.

"The documentary chronicles the present day state of the Earth, its climate and how we as the dominant species have long-term repercussions on its future. A theme expressed throughout the documentary is that of linkage; how all organisms and the Earth are linked in a "delicate but crucial" balance with each other, and how no organism can be self-sufficient."
