He was cute and funny on the phone, and we laughed all night long.
We seemed to get along just fine, and we touched on taboo subjects as well.
The hours went by so fast, and next thing I know we talked about us.
One thing lead to another, and there was an awkward pause in between words.
I heard him breathing on the other line, and it was tense but very relaxed.
We wondered if we'd get ever work it out, and I simply could not understand why not.
It was the climax in the setting of Destiny, but we knew how to play along.
We moved on and laughed a few more times just before we said good night.
After the au revoir, I thought to myself "maybe he's been the one all along".
